The Canadian Network for International Surgery (CNIS) is currently seeking health professionals with digital expertise to support the enhancement of its global health education programs. Volunteers will play a critical role in updating and developing online training materials used to teach essential surgical and obstetric skills around the world.
This role is ideal for:
— Medical students, residents, or practicing clinicians with an interest in global health
— Professionals with a background in surgical, obstetric, or emergency care
— Individuals comfortable with digital platforms and e-learning tools
Key Responsibilities:
— Review and edit educational content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and learner engagement
— Assist in creating interactive learning materials such as videos, quizzes, and assignments
— Help modernize and digitize training modules for international health professionals
Skills & Qualifications:
— Certification or formal education in medicine, nursing, midwifery, or a related health field
— Clinical experience (preferred) in surgery, obstetrics, or emergency care
— Interest or experience in online learning, digital curriculum development, or educational technology
— Strong written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex medical topics
